SPECIALIZED PROGRAM FOR HATCHING EGG PRODUCERS
|
OBHECC - Group Insurance Program
- Unique for the needs of the Hatching Egg Producer
- Coverage starts when the birds are one day old and ends when birds are disposed of.
- Multi peril coverage including losses due to heat prostration, power interruption and mechanical breakdown.
- Settlements are based on your Actual Loss Sustained. If a loss occurs to your flock during the growing period of 20 weeks, this would include the costs for birds, feed and other expenses. Also, your loss of earnings is covered for the time you have to sit out your production period.
- If a loss occurs to your flock after the flock is transferred, the settlement will include your loss of earnings plus the value of the birds for the remainder of your production period.
- Also, loss of earnings is extended to your egg production facilities during the period of time those facilities are empty.
Advantages Over Other Programs/Coverage
- Coverage for birds being grown off premises may not be available.
- Business interruption insurance for birds grown off premises. The business interruption insurance may only provide coverage for a limited period of time and not for the income lost because the hatching egg producer is forced to sit out an entire production cycle.
- To arrange continuous coverage for flocks in the growing stage and production stage may require several changes every year to your existing insurance policy.
